“Our People are our greatest asset”
At Southern Cross Project Group our employees are critical to the continuing success of our company. The longevity of our staff members is testament to this, with more than 70 per cent still with the company since inception.
We have a commitment to ‘home growing’ talent, and provide ongoing training and development programs. The number of apprentices and cadets we employ is well above industry standard, and to achieve our aim of increasing trainee numbers, we have implemented innovative apprentice and cadet training schemes.
| Our programs are designed to give broad-ranging experience across all areas of construction. There are 16 modules, from beginner training to advanced training, depending on a trainee’s level. While cadets are studying they receive a salary and their university fees are paid by Southern Cross. In addition, we have a unique ‘loan out’ scheme, whereby cadets are loaned to partner organisations including construction planners, surveyors, architects, engineers and our own estimating department. The aim is to give trainees an extensive skill-set and thorough understanding of how projects work, and ensure clients receive outstanding service. |
 | Our visible legacy can be seen on the horizon in many areas throughout New South Wales, but, it is our team who hold the Southern Cross Construction reputation for quality workmanship, performance, even-handed negotiations and excellent relations with clients. Our reputation within the industry is attested to by the large volumes of repeat business, extensive references and the many industry awards for the firm’s completed buildings.
Joining Southern Cross Project Group will give you the opportunity to work in a positive, dynamic team environment with a company that values its employees and provides the opportunity to achieve your career potential.
