» Andrew Box - Managing Director
| Andrew has been involved in construction for most of his life, rapidly progressing his career from labourer and trade assistant, achieving a Bachelor of Applied Science and Diploma in Building, to subsequently heading up the NSW division of West Australian construction company Consolidated Constructions – where he transformed what was a start-up company into a thriving firm with an annual turnover of $60 million. |

Andrew joined Southern Cross Project Group as a director in 1998, becoming a shareholder four years later. As director responsible for Southern Cross Constructions, Andrew oversees the day-to-day operations of the company, and he has been instrumental in its continued success and growth.
» Bill Stavrinos - Operations Manager
| Over the past 20 years, Bill has forged a formidable reputation in the building industry, working on a significant number of major civil and building works. A highly experienced engineer, Bill has been a key player with some of the country’s largest building firms, managing many large-scale residential, premium residential, hotel, commercial office and infrastructure works. |

Prior to joining Southern Cross Project Group, Bill worked with Multiplex Constructions, initially as a Project Engineer and then Construction Manager. During this time he played an integral role in the overall management of the 550-apartment, multi-storey Moore Park Gardens development, in addition to the conversion of the Finger Wharf at Woolloomooloo into a hotel/apartment/restaurant/marine complex.
Bill joined Southern Cross Project Group in 2003, and is an integral member of Southern Cross Constructions’ executive team, overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations. He has been instrumental in structuring the company to ensure it is able to successfully deliver a wide range of projects. His expertise, knowledge and tremendous attention to detail enable Bill to successfully lead the Southern Cross Construction s team of building professionals over the line, every time.
» Ross Smith - Project Director
Ross has been involved with the construction industry for 27 years, with hands-on experience gained from working with top tier construction companies on major projects throughout the Sydney CBD and within South East Asia.
Ross’s wealth of experience in major construction works and his strong understanding of the design and construct building discipline have contributed greatly to Southern Cross Project Group becoming the leading second tier construction company in NSW.
| In his role as Project Director with Southern Cross Project Group, Ross is jointly responsible for the running of Southern Cross Constructions, and has been involved with the successful, on-time delivery of many of the group’s major projects including The Terraces at Pyrmont, Bondi Icebergs, The Silos at Newtown and The Marbury and Oasis at Surry Hills. Ross also oversees the group’s apprentice training program, which provides wide-ranging industry training. |

» Karim Candaten - Project Director
Karim joined Southern Cross Project Group in 1998, having previously worked as Contracts Administrator with Multiplex Constructions. During his time with Multiplex Karim worked on various major projects including the $80 million Pinnacle Apartment development in Milsons Point and the $136 million Australian Property Trust building in George Street Sydney.
| With 14 years’ of industry experience and an intimate knowledge of Southern Cross Constructions, Karim is well positioned in his role as Project Director. He has overseen many construction projects around Sydney, from Catalina’s in Queenscliff, Sydney Park Village in Alexandria, to Valencia and Palermo in Homebush Bay. Karim is also responsible for the development and implementation of the group’s quality assurance systems and Best Practices Manual, ensuring clients continue to receive the highest quality solutions. |

» Gary Simpson - Chief Estimator
| Gary has had a long-standing career in the building industry, starting as an apprentice carpenter and joiner and then working his way through the ranks. After completing a Building Foreman and Clerk of Works Course, Gary worked as a general foreman for large-scale projects. He moved into estimating 30 years ago, working for a number of leading construction firms in this capacity. Since joining Southern Cross Constructions nine years ago, Gary was subsequently appointed Chief Estimator, a role that encompasses pricing jobs and overseeing other estimators' work, in addition to initial budget design control and final cost analysis of tenders. The largest project Gary has estimated was valued at $320 million. |

» Andrew Thackray - Business Development Manager
Since joining the building industry in 1985, Andrew has worked with a range of construction groups in Sydney and on the Central Coast, overseeing a large variety of construction projects ranging in complexity and size, from residential apartments, commercial offices, industrial spaces to retirement and educational facilities. Andrew has comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the project management process, gained from both a hands-on and management perspective.
| Andrew’s extensive experience equips him well in his role as Business Development Manager with Southern Cross Project Group. In his role Andrew directs his skills and energy in working with Southern Cross Construction on tenders, in addition to marketing and promoting Southern Cross Construction Group. Andrew is also responsible for managing design development, working closely with design teams and clients through the initial design approval phase. |

His role involves design co-ordination, project cost analysis, development programming and client liaison.
